Classic Guacamole recipe

A classic, mild guacamole dip without chillies.
Preparation time: 5 minutes, Cooking time: 30 minutes, Serves: 24 

Ingredients

4 ripe avocados, seeded, peeled and cut into small chunks
2 Tbsp lime juice
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tomato, finely diced
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 tsp ground cumin
Hot pepper sauce to taste

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, add the avocado chunks, lime juice and garlic. Using a fork, roughly mash the avocado. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well until all ingredients blend evenly. Cover with plastic foil and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to develop.

Notes and tips

Serve this avocado dip with tortilla chips for a great appetizer.
