Ingredients
- 1 bag (14 oz) Tortilla chips 1 bag (14 oz) Tortilla chips
- 2–3 cup refried beans 480–720 ml refried beans
- 3 cup grated cheddar cheese 720 ml grated cheddar cheese
- 4 pickled jalapeno peppers, sliced 4 pickled jalapeno peppers, sliced

- Fresh cilantro (coriander), roughly chopped Fresh cilantro (coriander), roughly chopped
Method
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Cover a shallow baking pan with one or two layers of tortilla chips. Carefully cover the chips with the refried beans, making sure not to break the chips. Sprinkle the tortilla chips first with the grated cheese and then with the sliced jalapeno peppers.
Bake in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Serve in the baking dish topped with sour cream, salsa, guacamole and the chopped coriander or any of the above, according to your taste.

Cook's notes
Use a baking disj that is suitable for serving since it is difficult to move the chips to another dish after baking them. Make sure that the dish you use is oven prrof.
