Ingredients
- 2 oz good quality Mexican tequila (60 ml) 57 g good quality Mexican tequila (60 ml)
- 1 oz triple sec (30 ml) 28 g triple sec (30 ml)
- 4 oz fresh lime juice (120 ml) 115 g fresh lime juice (120 ml)
- 4 tsp sugar 20 ml sugar
- Kosher Salt Kosher Salt
- 2 lime wedges 2 lime wedges
- Crushed ice Crushed ice
Method
Place the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, sugar and crushed ice into a shaker
and shake well for about 30 seconds, until the sugar is dissolved.
Put about half a handful of salt into a plate. Prepare the glasses by rubbing the rim with the lime wedge, then 'dipping' the rim into the salt.
Divide the margarita into the glasses and optionally garnish with the lime wedges.
