hard, salty cheese, very similar to
Parmesan but higher in fat and with a sharper flavor. There are different types of Romano cheese available.
Pecorino Romano is the original Romano cheese and is made from sheep's
milk. Other types of the romano cheese are made from goat or cow's
milk.
