Spaghetti with garlic shrimp recipe

An easy spaghetti and garlic shrimp recipe. Use fresh, medium or large sized shrimps for best results.
Preparation time: 5 minutes, Cooking time: 10 minutes, Serves: 2 

Ingredients

2 Tbsp olive oil
1 clove of garlic, finely sliced
Chili flakes to taste
2 cups of fresh shrimps, shelled
2 Tbsp butter
1/3 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste

Spaghetti for 2
Grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Cook the spaghetti in lots of salted boiling water, al dente.

While the spaghetti is cooking, start making the sauce.
In a saucepan over medium heat add the olive oil. Add the chili flakes, if using and fry for about 1 minute. Add the garlic and shrimps and cook until the shrimps turn pink. Add the butter and white wine and bring to a heat. Lower the heat and simmere until the pasta is ready. Add the chopped parsley and toss well. Taste and adjust with salt and black pepper.

When the pasta is ready drain and pour into the saucepan, over the shrimp sauce. Toss well and serve in individual plates with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes and tips

This dish is great with freshly made garlic bread.
