Stuffed mushrooms recipe

Mushrooms stuffed with sauteed sausages, garlic, parsley and parmesan cheese and baked in the oven. Serve with garlic bread for a great appetizer.
Preparation time: 10 minutes, Cooking time: 20 minutes, Serves: 4 

Ingredients

16 large fresh mushrooms
6 ounces sweet Italian sausages
1 clove garlic, minced
3 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp parsley, minced
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
¼ cup water

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Remove the stems from the mushrooms and chop them finely. Saute the sausage with the garlic in 1 tablespoon of oil until lightly brown. Break up the sausage while sauteing it. Add 1 more Tbsp of olive oil, the cheese and the parsley and stir well until all ingredients are well combined. Fill the mushrooms with the mixture. Place the mushrooms in a shallow baking pan with the remaining oil and ¼ cup water and bake for 20 minutes.

Serve with freshly made garlic bread and a green salad.
