Salsa Picante recipe

This famous Mexican salsa is great with tortilla chips or as a condiment with other Mexican dishes such as enchiladas and chimichangas.

Ingredients

3 medium fresh tomatoes, seeded and finely chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 Anaheim chili, chopped
2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (coriander)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 Tbsp lime juice
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl, mix well, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours.

Serve with tortilla chips, enchiladas or chimichangas.
