Ingredients
75g granulated sugar
150ml white wine vinegar
300ml water
2 Tablespoons salt
1 Tablespoon black peppercorns
1 Tablespoon dried dill
1 Tablespoon mustard seeds
6 medium sized cucumbers, sliced in half lengthwise
Directions
Put the sugar, salt, white wine vinegar and water in a cooking pot and
bring to a simmer. Remove from heat. In a Jar, large enough to hold the
cucumbers and the juice, place the cucumbers, the peppercorns, the
mustard seeds and the dill. Pour over the hot water and vinegar
mixture. Cover tightly with the lid and let sit for at leat 1 week.
Notes and tips
You can also add green bell peppers, celery, carrots, onions or any other vegetable you would. If you like your pickles sweeter, add more sugar.
