Simple, easy, delicious homemade beefburgers. The burgers are cooked under the grill and can be served on bread rolls topped with cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickled cucumber slices, ketchup and mayonnaise, or any other ingredients you like.
Preparation time: 10 minutes, Cooking time: 15 minutes, Serves: 4

Ingredients

1 lb good quality ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg lightly beaten
1/4 cup beef stock
Salt and black pepper to taste

To serve
4 bread rolls
4 slices of cheese
Tomato slices
Cucumber pickle slices
Lettuce
Mayonnaise
Ketchup

Directions

In a large bowl add all ingredients except the beef stock and mix well until you get a uniform mixture. Start adding the beef stock and mix until you get a good consistency, not too dry but not too either.

Divide the beef mixture into 4 and form into balls. Press each ball with your palms to form the beef burgers.

Cook the beef burgers under a grill for 5 to 8 minutes per side, turning once, depending on how well done you like them.

Serve the burgers on warm bread rolls topped with your favorite ingredients, together with fries or anything else you like.
