Bittersweet chocolate sauce recipe

A bittersweet chocolate sauce, great with ice creams.
Preparation time: 5 minutes, Cooking time: 5 minutes, Serves: 8 

Ingredients

3/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup water
2 Tbsp corn syrup
1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1/2 tsp kosher salt
10 oz (280 g) bittersweet chocolate, roughly chopped
1 Tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

In a medium saucepan over medium heat add the heavy cream, whole milk, water, corn syrup, cocoa powder and salt. Stir well simmer, whisking until the cocoa powder is completely dissolved, for about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and add the chocolate, butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined. Serve warm or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a few days. Reheat the sauce in the microwave when needed or serve cold.
