Homemade tartar sauce recipe

A simple, delicious tartar sauce recipe, great with fried seafood or as a sauce for sandwiches.
Preparation time: -, Cooking time: -, Serves: 4 

Ingredients

1 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp onion, minced
1 Tbsp capers, finely chopped
1 Tbsp sweet pickle relish
2 Tbsp  lemon juice (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and stir well to combine. Taste and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.

This tartar sauce will keep for in the refrigerator for up to a week.
