Onion dip (with cottage cheese and yogurt) recipe

A simple and tasty cheese and onion dip, great with chips or nachos. For a lighter alternative, substitute the yogurt and cottage cheese with low fat equivalents.
Preparation time: 5 minutes, Cooking time: 5 minutes, Serves: 4 

Ingredients

1 cup cottage cheese
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
1 tsp salt
White pepper to taste

Directions

In a blender or food processor add the cottage cheese and lemon juice and process until you get a smooth mixture. Add the rest of the ingredients and process until blended. Taste and adjust with salt and white pepper to taste. Empty the mixture into a bowl  and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.

You can adjust the taste of the dip by adding your favorite herb like oregano or thyme, or even garlic.
