A simple, easy to make pasta or rice Alfredo recipe. Butter and cream with Parmesan and swiss cheese make an excellent topping for pasta or rice.
Preparation time: 5 minutes, Cooking time: 10 minutes, Serves: 2

Ingredients

8 ounce package pasta (fettucini or tagliatelle), or 2 cups rice
½ cup unsalted butter
½ cup light cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup shredded Swiss cheese
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

Cook the pasta or rice according to instructions on the packaging. Drain, if using pasta, set aside and keep warm.

While the pasta is cooking, add the butter in a saucepan and melt over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and add the cream. When the cream and butter mixture heats up, remove from the heat and pour over the pasta. Toss well until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce. Top with the Parmesan and swiss cheeses and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

If using rice, the procedure is the same. Just pour the cream sauce over the rice, top with the Parmesan and swiss cheese and season with salt and pepper.

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and all. However think about if you added some great photos or video clips to give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this site could definitely be one of the greatest in its field. Very good blog!
