Cumin and salt for seasoning Directions Stack the tortillas one on top of the other and cut then in 8 wedges each.
Spread the tortilla wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet or aluminum foil. Sprinkle with cumin and salt to taste.
Bake them at 375 degrees Fahrenheiht for about 10 minutes, turning them once after 5 minutes. Make sure you watch them closely so that they do not turn too brown. If they start getting brown faster, turn them over.
Take the tortilla chips out of the oven and let them cool. Store them in an air-tight container if you do not intent to use them immediately.
In case you store the tortillas, you can freshen them up before using them by putting them in the microwave for 45 about seconds at medium heat. Allow them to sit for 5 to 10 minutes to become hard and crunchy again.
Notes and tips You can optionally spray the tortillas with cooking oil before seasoning them with cumin and salt. This will make them oily, but it will help the seasoning to stick on them. You can also use any other seasoning or even combination of seasonings of your choice (for example paprica powder, chili powder, cayenne powder, garlic powder etc.)
