An original recipe for the famous Mexican Guacamole appetizer
Preparation time: 15 minutes, Cooking time: 10 minutes, Serves: 24

Ingredients

4 ripe avocados, peeled and seeded
1 tsp ground cumin
4 Tbsp fresh lime juice
1 ripe, medium tomato, seeded and diced
2 serrano chilies, seeded and minced
1/2 cup sweet white onion, minced
1/4 cup coriander leaves, finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Cut the avocado in large chunks, place in a bowl and mash with a fork. Add the remaining ingredients and blend gently, until you get a smooth mixture. You can make the sauce as smooth as you like, but it is ok if there are some small pieces of avocado left. Taste and adjust with more salt, pepper and lime juice, as desired.

Notes and tips

You can add hot pepper sauce (for example Tabasco) to make this appetizer hotter.
