Tomatillo Salsa recipe

Tomatillo salsa is another Mexican salsa that uses tomattillos and chili peppers as main ingredients. It can be served with tortilla chips or as a condiment with fajitas, tacos or similar dishes.
Preparation time: 5 minutes, Cooking time: 5 minutes, Serves: 4 

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds tomatillos (with the outer husk removed)
2 large yellow onions, finely chopped
2-4 serrano or jalapeno peppers, chopped and seeded (adjust quantity to taste)
2 Tbsp garlic, minced
4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 cup fresh coriander, chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

Dice the tomatillos and place in a bowl. Add the garlic, onions, serrano or jalapeno peppers, garlic, lime juice, oregano, coriander, salt and pepper. Taste the salsa and adjust with more salt, pepper and lime juice, as desired.

Notes and tips

You can adjust how hot the sauce is by adjusting the quantity of serrano or jalapeno peppers used.
