Basic Ceasar salad dressing recipe

A basic recipe for the Ceasar salad dressing. Simple, easy to do and delicious.
Preparation time: 5 minutes, Cooking time: 1 minutes, Serves: 0 

Ingredients

1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
2 garlic cloves

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper to taste.

Pour into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for several hours until needed. For the most taste and aroma, refrigerate overnight.

Makes about 1 cup of salad dressing.

how can you make REAL Caesar Salad Dressing without using egg? The egg and olive oil (dribbled a few drops at a time and vigorously stirred) are what make that thick, silky texture. At least, cheat a little and use mayonnaise if you want to avoid using raw egg.
