Peri Peri sauce (mild version) recipe

This is the mild, yet equally tasty version of the famous Peri Peri sauce. It is very easy to make and makes a mild version of the sauce that even children can eat.

Ingredients

3 pickled jalapeno peppers, chopped
3 dried Anaheim chiles
2 Chipotle chiles
8 Tbsp lemon juice or lime juice
10 - 12 Tbsp olive oil
1/4 - 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp chile flakes
2 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp paprika
2 tsp salt
2 tsp dried oregano

Directions

Rehydrate the dried chiles in a bowl of hot water for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut in half, and get rid of veins and seeds. Chop roughly and process in a blender with the rest of the ingredients until smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add more olive oil. Taste and adjust with more lemon juice and salt.

This recipe will yield about 2 cups of Peri Peri sauce.
